In these last years my role of Italian Wedding Planner has changed; I have realized that I'm not longer just a wedding planner… I also become a Wedding Designer, following and creating personally the arrangements for the marriage and the reception, following the request of my couple among the different style that could be vintage, country, shabby, luxury…
I love go to the "brocant" or "flea markets" and buy items that give a special touch to "my weddings" ... Trunks, old suitcases, vintage armchairs and sofas ... and small cages, frames, ancient keys and books of the last century. Cotton, linen and lace… decapè tables, white chairs, plaid and lanterns!!! Teacups or pale pink pearls and then the photoboot: one of the funniest parts of reception! Fake noses, moustaches, wigs, hats and a vintage Polaroid (really new Fujifilm instax) to capture any moments and then pin on the cork board!!! Or a triumph of glasses, tall and short chandelier and candles of different colours, cups, vases and jars for the flowers… an not only simply roses, but a sophisticated research of the most beautiful flowers arranged in wonderful compositions that permit to my brides to plunge and live their dream. And where I can't arrive my vendors can and the final result will be stunning and wonderful. Pinterest changes my way to work and approach at the realization of ideas. Many times I can find online what I would like suggest to my couple… couple: to my bride, where does go to groom in this moments??? We don't know ;)
Sometime I can mix different part of different pictures to create "our project" and when I don't find online my idea I come back to the old and always useful drawing with pencil and paper…
I follow and draw inspiration also from some accounts of Instagram: there are some florist with I hope to work very soon: Nina e i Fiori and La Rosa Canina. They are a great inspiration for me and my brides. Sometimes ago I interviewed a great florist with I worked in different events… her suggestions are always useful. I love this part of my job and also about this aspect the couples change their approach. Some couple give me only some info about what they want: the color or style or that specific mix of flowers and then ask me the ideas, the suggestions and the relative costs. In this case I see very well what they post on their board on Pinterest and I search to find a fill rouge making a project that matches with their dreams. Sometimes happened also that some bride wrote me: "Pls, do everything yourself, I trust you and your good taste"! It's wonderful in this case but my level of anxiety grows up; but it's a very honor for me when I have all this trust from my couples. Others instead arrive with their project just ready in mind: in this case we finalize with details all set up asking at the end the cost at the vendors. To plan a wedding we need to cooperate together, in this way you will have your personalized and customize reception! Also the wedding cake has is important role and the couple that plan their wedding in Italy can decide between two different option: the classic cake in Italian Style (one floor) or the English Style.
